A Comfy Place Like Home Daycare is located in North Stockton 2 min. from I-5 freeway. I opened my Day Care in Stockton in 1987. I've put a lot of time and energy into making this the best daycare available. We have a room with a lot of educational toys and activities for the children . There is a computer available for the children to use on a regular basis with an educational curriculum. We also have a separate room for our Infants. We all have a great time singing and dancing!!
All meals and snacks are included in the program sponsored by the USDA Food Program. We are Licensed to care for a maximum of 14 children. My Daughter, "Tina" works with me daily. She grew up in my Day Care and loves children. She is married with two children of her own.
As part of continuing education and professional development, I continuously attend training and seminars on child development, health and nutrition, and curriculum design. I am a First Five Mini Grant recipient. I also participate in Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale-Revised Edition by Thelma Harms. I also do Ages & Stages. I am certified in CPR and First Aid Administration, Medication Administration, Recognizing/Understanding Learning Disabilities.
Everyone in our Day Care has been fingerprinted and had a complete Back Ground check required by the State. We have great references available and have taken many classes in Early Childhood Education. Call for more information or a tour of our Facility. This is a great Comfy Place Like Home!! We accept subsidized programs. We also Potty train and Transport to and from school.

I've really been in child care my entire life. Since I was born, my Mom,Maria, has been a licensed Child Care Provider for many years.
After I got married, I knew what I wanted to do. To be back with my Mom, taking care of little ones is the most rewarding career I can think of. Especially being a mother now, I realize how important it is to have loving and safe care. With my Mom and I, safety is of the utmost importance. I have taken many courses in early childhood.
I couldn't imagine having to leave my daughters with someone I didn't know. I realize, however, that child care is a necessity for most families today. Therefore, it is my personal goal, to make sure each and every child in my care feels happy and safe and loved.
There is no job more important than ours,
no job anywhere else in the land.
We are the keepers of the future;
we hold the smallest of hands
Into our care we are trusted
to nurture and care for the young,
and for all of our everyday heroics,
our talents and skills go unsung.
We wipe tears from the eyes of the injured.
We rock babies brand new in our arms.
We encourage the shy and unsure child.
We make sure they are safe from all harm.
We foster the bonds of friendships,
letting no child go away mad.
We respect and we honor their emotions.
We give hugs to each child when they're sad.
We have more impact than does a professor,
a child's mind is molded by four;
so whatever we lay on the table
is whatever that child will explore.
Give each child the tools for adventure,
let them be artists and writers and more;
let them fly in the wind and dance on the stars
and build castles of sand on the shore.
It is true that we don't make much money
and we don't get a whole lot of praise,
but when one small child says, "I love you,"
we're reminded of how this job pays.
